VERITY

  *NOT FOR KIDS*   Verity, written by colleen hoover, was my third book read. You will soon know why I’m starting with its review. The first paragraph is gonna be the spoiler-free review. And from the next one I’m going to narrate the story. Why? Because I know I will someday forget it no matter how unforgettable it seems. Verity is a psychological thriller which definitely will creep you out. But a warning that I did not get is that it also includes a decent amount of smut. I am so not the kind to read smut. I can barely read a mild romance book. A kiss scene is the maximum I am willing to read. And pretty much everyone knew that. Yet, I was kept in the dark about it. I thought it was simply a thriller. So, if you are also like me, I would not suggest Verity. But if you read Ana Huang (traumatizing for me btw) or any other kinda smut, you are good to go. My Sudden Reading Habit

In the beginning of 11 th grade, I saw my friends obsessed with fictional books. I never really got into the habit of reading ever since me and my mom completed the harry potter series, and that was a long time ago. Plus, it was not so much as ‘us’ reading it than my mom reading it and narrating it to me. After that neither my mom nor I could find anything that grabbed our attention. My mom later moved on to reading Tamil books and even writing one about me which I thoroughly enjoyed. No guy could possibly match the standards my mom has set.😁 I, on the other hand, had completely let go of my reading habit. I mean I did try to read more fantasy like cruel prince, twisted tree and some others that I don’t remember. But none of them stuck. I thought it just wasn’t for me. After looking at my friends, I figured that maybe reading wasn’t the problem. The problem was the genre. I wasn’t a kid no more to enjoy fantasy and wasn’t a big fan of romance either.
